Konepörssi InDesign advertisement templates
Download here (zip)
View Konepörssi media information and download the media kit, where you can see the advertisement size options.
Canva
If you use the Canva program, please use only the Pro or Teams version. Only these versions allow for the export of press-ready pdf files.
Full-page advertisements
If a color surface or image extends to the edge of the page, the color surface must exceed each edge by a minimum of 4 mm (bleed). The final material pdf file must also include crop marks.
Inner margins for full-page advertisements
Top and bottom at least 5 mm. Left and right 10 mm. Do not place important elements outside the margins.
Konepörssi color settings
We recommend creating advertisements in the Adobe RGB color space.
Alternative color setting
Color profile for advertisements on inside pages; PSO LWC Improved (download here zip). The maximum ink coverage with this profile in dark areas is 295%.
Color profile for advertisements on the front and inside covers, PSO Coated (download here zip). The maximum ink coverage with this profile in dark areas is 300%.
If the advertisement uses extensive black areas, please ensure that you never use CMYK 100-100-100-100 values in graphics. In that case, the advertisement’s maximum ink coverage will be significantly exceeded. Instead, please use, for example, 60-50-40-100 values, known as ”rich black,” which achieves a sufficiently dark black tone.
Note! Black gradients over dark images significantly increase ink coverage. Use with caution. This is one of the biggest reasons why we will request new material, as the total ink coverage will be significantly exceeded.
Texts
Do not use colors in texts smaller than 9 points. During printing, color registration may shift, causing small four-color texts to become unclear. All black texts – ensure they are not four-color black or RGB. Select ”Black” from the color palette, which is 1-color black.
Using effects
If the advertisement uses many transparencies, drop shadows, and other effects, it is good to ensure that all images, texts, and graphics are in the same color space, CMYK (or alternatively Adobe RGB). This way, there will be fewer surprises regarding blending during printing.
Spot and Pantone colors
Convert all spot and Pantone colors to process colors (CMYK).
Images
In InDesign, it is advisable to check the final resolution of images from the info panel’s effective ppi. The effective ppi should be at least 220 ppi, but preferably 300 ppi. This way, image sharpness will not become low-resolution.
